VR Education
Goal: How well does learning and retention in Virtual Reality (VR) compare to more traditional formats such as Powerpoint slides
Participants: Undergraduate college students at UCSB
Methodology: Participants were randomized into the VR condition or the Powerpoint condition. All participants would fill out a self-disclosure screener and take a pre-test to see how much of the material they'd be learning in VR/experiment they already knew. They'd then go through the experiment and then take a post-test on the material presented during the condition and they'd take a survey on the experience.
My role: As an assistant, I would set-up and moderate sessions on my own. I'd help with data analysis through coding qualitative data and I'd suggest methodology design alterations based on my observations.
